How to use the Oraswab

1.    Dip Oraswab (Product #X76075 is impregnated with a specially compounded paste that includes Xylitol and Bicarbonate of Soda. Xylitol has been found to prevent tooth decay and helps prevent dental cavites by starving bacteria and remineralising tooth enamel while helping to increase the flow of saliva in the mouth. This specially compounded paste is Made in Australia with no Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), into warm water or CCP Oraclean Solution that is made, formulated and packaged in Australia (product #X4300 hydrogen peroxide 1.5%). Or alternatively use Oraswab #X76070 without sodium bicarb. This may be used with toothpaste.

2.   Gently squeeze or express excess liquid against side of bottle, package or cup to avoid too much liquid flooding the mouth.

3.   Brush teeth, buccal cavity (cheeks), upper hard palate and tongue (twirling to remove thick tenacious secretions); use second swab as needed to clean-up remaining matter and debris, have patient expectorate or suction as needed.

4.   If patient is uncooperative, altered or unconscious, always use a Protective Bite Block> #X4100 to facilitate cleaning oral cavity and teeth safely.

5.   Ensure that the foam swab is intact after removing from mouth.
