Skin tears are caused when the skin is fixed to a support surface and the underlying tissue moves causing internal capillaries to distort or rupture which in turn impairs or occludes capillary flow. Just put your hand inside the glove to clean the body and use your traditional pH friendly skin cleansers (pH 5.5) to promote patient comfort by removing perspiration and body fluids.
